KPK government to install solar panels and sound systems at churches, temples and gurdawaras

Provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has settled on installing solar panels and sound systems at all the churches, temples and gurdawaras in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government maintains that by equipping minorities’ places of worship with solar panels and sound systems will ensure that the religious minorities in the province will be able to perform their religious ritual without any interruption.

This announcement was made by Sardar Soran Singh- special assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on minorities’ affairs. While his visit to the under construction hall of the Gurur Mandar on Monday, December 7, stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhawa government has embarked upon the project of equipping all the places of worship belonging to religious minorities with solar panels and sound systems. In addition to this, he announced a sum of Rupees 4 million for the installation aof solar panels and other expenses at the Guru Mandar Hall.

While further facilitating, the Hindu community, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will restore the newly opened place at the border with Orakzai Agency in Alizai so that the Hindu community will not have to take on the tiring journey from Kohat to Parachinar in order to take the dead bodies there.

Sardar Soran Singh, said that the achievability report for the renovation of all the worship places of the religious minorities is ready and in next to no time work will be initiated on this the project.

He said that this project is intended to preserve the places of worship belonging to the religious minorities, so as to gratify the religious sentiments of the religious minorities living in the province. In addition to this, Soran Singh further revealed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has raised the job quota for minorities by 100 percent which is a record.
