KPK minorities’ minister Soran Singh gunned by unknown assailants

Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly- Sardar Soran Singh, killed by unknown assailants, today Friday April 22. Sardar Soran Singh belonged to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and was a leading activist. Thus far, the attackers have not been identified, even as, there is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. Sardar Soran Singh, was a special assistant on minorities’ affairs to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa- Pervaiz Khattaq.

Sardar Soran Singh was shot dead in Pir Baba area of Disrict Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Followed by initial action, the police stated that MPA Soran Singh was targeted by gunmen who were riding motorcycles. The gunmen opened fire on him, as he was returning home after attending a function, the police further revealed. Consequently, the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his killing and has directed the Buner administration to preset a report over the incident.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman-Imran Khan tweeted “Shocked at murder of PTI’s KP MPA & Minorities Minister Sooran Singh. KP govt must immed set up inquiry. A great loss for all of us.”
