Lahore: A Christian accused of human trafficking arrested by FIA

FIA’ anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) in Lahore has hooked a human trafficker on Friday, April 15. While giving details, a spokesman for FIA said, that the human trafficker arrested was on the list of most wanted criminals.

The spokesperson further said that the FIA received secret information about Asim Jameel, the criminal arrested. He further told that the criminal was involved in several human trafficking cases and was hooked at Lahore’ Johar Town.

After the information, the anti-human trafficking cell (AHTC) team arrived at the location and conducted a raid in Johar Town and arrested Asim Jameel. The anti-human trafficking cell team was headed by Chaudhary Muhammad Ahmad. The spokesperson of FIR further said that criminal Asim Jameel was wanted in seven different cases of human trafficking.

FIA spokesperson, further said he was nominated in theses seven cases which were registered at FIA AHTC Lahore. The criminal was accused of extorting millions of rupees from aspiring immigrants who wanted to go abroad for job.

On the other hand, FIA carried out another raid, in Cavalry Ground in the Cantt area, and arrested another alleged human trafficker identified as Qaiser Masih. FIA team recovered four forged passports with fake visas stamps and tickets of Dubai from his possession.

Qaiser Masih was accused of being involved in smuggling people abroad through illegal means and making money by this business. Consequently, FIA’ anti-human trafficking cell registered a case against him.
