Pakistani Christians have stepped forward to express solidarity with the martyrs of the Indian held Kashmir. For this reason a demonstration was organized outside the Lahore Press Club on October 8, Saturday. A large number of Christians participated in the demonstration in order to raise their voices against the atrocities committed by the Indian forces in IHK.
At this occasion, the demonstrators were chanting slogans condemning killings of innocent citizens in the occupied Kashmir. They were also carrying banners and posters as they were demanding the international community to take apt action in order to thwart the atrocities being committed in the IHK.
They urged the international community to intervene and save the innocent Kashmiris from the violence and bloodshed so that peace is restored in the valley and the Kashmir issue gets resolved. They chanted slogans against the Indian government over recent wave of violence against Kashmiri men, women and children while they heaped condemnation upon the human rights violations at the hands of Indian forces.
While addressing the assembly, the speakers said that the world cannot ignore the plight of Kashmiris. They said that the human rights abuses being committed in IHK must not be overlooked by the international community and prompt action must be taken in this regard.
They also reiterated their support for the Kashmiris saying that the Pakistani nation, including religious minorities, stands united in their support as they are struggling for their legitimate right to freedom.
