Pakistani Christians honor cops for proving them fail-safe security during Easter celebrations. For this reason a ceremony was held in honor of police force, which ensured infallible security arrangements at churches, parks and other public places on Easter. Police personnel were honored while their services aware greatly acknowledged and appreciated by Christians.
For this reason a ceremony was held at Lahore’s Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. Police officials along with security guards had been invited, in order to express gratitude and appreciation. On this occasion, SP Operations Civil Lines Ali Raza graced the ceremony as guest of honor. During This ceremony Christians presented honorary certificates to the police personnel and the security guards.
Other high officials who attended this ceremony included DSP Civil Lines Raza Safdar Kazmi, SHO Zaheer- ud-Din Babar and others. While addressing the attendees, SP Operations Civil Lines Ali Raza thanked the Christian community for acknowledging and appreciating the services of police. He said that he was glad that the Christian community had appreciated the hard work being put in by the police force.
Previously, Leaders from mainstream churches assembled during a press conference held under the banner of Council for Interfaith Dialogue and Ecumenical Solidarity Committee; and expressed gratitude towards the security forces for their persistent efforts to ensure security during Easter.
During this press conference was presided by Bishop Samuel Azariah, Moderator Church of Pakistan, Raiwind Diocese. While addressing the attendees, Father Francis Nadeem OFM Cap detailed the purpose of holding the press conference.
Father Nadeem thanked Inspector General of Punjab police Captain Muhammad Usman Khatak , CCPO Lahore Captain Muhammad Ameen Wains, DPO,s and SHO,s who had put in all-out efforts to ensure fail-safe security measures at all the churches, parks and other public places during Easter.
