Police hooks a man for shooting his sister in an honor killing for marrying a Christian. 24-year-old Mubeen Rajhu has been arrested for killing his sister Tasleem in August. The murderer claims his sister had brought dishonor to the family by marrying a Christian.

Mubeen had allegedly shot Tasleem in the head wherefore killing her for her disobedience to the family. He had later confessed to the murder saying he was being taunted by his co-workers who had seen his sister with the Christian husband. He has been behind the bars since a month.

Mubeen claims that his sister had sworn to him that she would not marry him; nonetheless married the same person she had been warned not to marry. Tasleem’s husband had reportedly converted to Islam, yet she had to pay the price. “There was no yelling, no shouting, I just shot her dead,” Mubeen admitted.

“I told her I would have no face to show at the mill, to show to my neighbors, so don’t do it. Don’t do it. But she wouldn’t listen. I could not let it go. It was all I could think about. I had to kill her. There was no choice,” Mubeen stated.

Ali Raza, co-worker of the murderer told the police that Mubeen had been pissed off by his fellow workers over this matter. “Some guys got to know that his sister was having a relationship. They would say: ‘Can’t you do anything? What is the matter with you? You are not a man.'”

He further revealed that in due course, Mubeen had even considered committing suicide because of the taunting at the work place. However, his co-workers had advised him saying “it would be better to kill your sister” because “it is better than letting her have this relationship.”
