Lahore: Victims of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park blast receive compensation money from HFO

The victims of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore, receive compensation money from Human Friends Organization (HFO.) This relief distribution ceremony was held under the auspices of Human Friends Organization at the organisation’ office in Lahore. The ceremony was held on June 28, Tuesday was attended by various clergymen.

Federal Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael graced this ceremony as chief guest. He distributed cheques of 50,000 Rupees to each victim. The ceremony was presided over by Father Shahzada Khurram. AT this occasion Member of Punjab Assembly Shakeel Marcus Khokhar, Pastor Irshad Ashknaz, Sister Genevieve and Father Lazar were also present. Moreover, some of the victims were bestowed with auto rickshaws for making their livelihood as they had been rendered impaired as result of the blast.

On Easter Sunday, March 28 a suicide bomber blew himself up at Lahore’ heavily crowded Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. As a result of this deadly bombing, more than 80 were killed and dozens were wounded. The victims included women and children in large numbers.
