60-years-old Pakistani Christian woman was hysterically beaten by a landlord when she quit working at his house. The alleged persecutor namely Muhammad Afzal had employed Christian woman Bashira Bibi for domestic work, but after some time she left which incensed the landlord who later punished her by inflicting excruciating wounds.
Bashira Bibi, resident of Chak 35, Burj Mahalam, Pattoki in District Kasur in Punjab province. She maintains the Muhammad Afzal had bashed her for quitting work at his house. She disclosed that the beating left her with a fractured left shoulder fractured.
“I worked at his house,” he detailed, “When I told him that I could no longer work at his place, he called me at his house one day and started beating me so much so that my left shoulder got fractured.”
She further revealed that she had submitted an application to the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP); however, no legal action has been taken against the perpetrator. She claims that not even an FIR has been registered against the alleged oppressor.
“I call upon respectable Federal Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael to help me as I pursue justice,” she said.
