Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she feels proud of Christian community and they are admirable citizens of Pakistan.
She said that Islam loves to give respect to other religions and their religious rituals. She said that respect for Christ is one of the basic principal of the Islamic faith. She said that the relationship of Muslims with Jesus Christ is one element of Muslim faith hence an attachment of respect is with the Christian community.
She said that the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a brilliant example which depicts his humble conduct towards the minorities. She told that the constitution of Pakistan also advised equal rights of the minorities as citizens of Pakistan. She said that Christians are respectable minority for every Pakistani as preserved in the Quaid’s vision.
The state minister said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister took exemplary measures for the minority rights. She said that the government strongly believed that the participation of the Christian community in the country’s development is unforgettable.
Marriyum said that the Christians contributed in making Pakistan. Still they are working in making its defense system strong and working to make it progressive country. She said that the Christian community had shed blood for Pakistan defense in the history. She said that the minorities made sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
She said that Pakistani paid homage to Christian community who died in terror attack particularly in church of Quetta. She said that the services of minorities are appreciable for the country progress and national unity.
