Archbishop Charles Bo of Yangon, Myanmar has issued a letter denouncing human trafficking and challenging the country’s government to stop the outrage.

The archbishop says that human trafficking puts many people in a “virtual hell,” and notes that the practice is particularly prevalent in south east Asia. The fact that profiteers exploit the “poorest and most vulnerable” people is a disgrace to the region, he said.
