Three Georgia sisters, Sarah, Kaylee and Jodie Swales, aged 19, 21 and 22, got married on the same day to fulfill their dying mom’s wish.
Last week, the sister were told Doctors could do nothing for their mother Becky Swales with breast cancer, Becky Swales, who wanted to see her daughters walking down the aisle before she dies.
Originally, the sisters had planned to have a triple wedding on October 26th, but after learning how soon their mother could be passing away, they quickly moved the wedding up to this past Sunday, according to FOX 5.
‘It’s kind of bittersweet,’ Jodie Swales told FOX 5 before the ceremony. ‘We are happy that she’s here, but this will probably be the last big thing that we do with her.’
“It’s awesome having her here, but it’s hard having her suffer while she’s here,” said Kaylie.
‘It’s not like losing a mom, it’s like losing a mom and a best friend and anyone would want their best friend at their wedding,” Sarah added, according to Daily Mail.
‘Our wedding wouldn’t be the same if she wasn’t there to experience it with us.’
Otis Swales, Becky’s husband, who walked all three his daughters down the aisle, said he relies on God to get through this hard time.
‘My wife is the love of my life so it’s hard,’ Otis said before the ceremony. ‘But I’m proud of my daughters. I just pray God gives me strength to get through every day.’
Becky Swales passed away Monday morning – only 12 hours after the wedding of her daughters.
