A Catholic Archbishop of Jos has complained and accused the western world of paying more attention and mourning the terror attack in France, while completely ignoring the in progress massacre of Nigerians, including many Christians, at the hands of the Nigerian terror group Boko Haram.
According to media reports, as many as 2,000 people are thought to have been killed, while several churches were burned in one of the deadliest attacks last week in Baga. Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama has complained about total ignorance on part of the western world in case of Boko Haram’s ongoing campaign of slaughtering the civilians including many Christians. “It is a monumental tragedy. It has saddened all of Nigeria. But we seem to be helpless. Because if we could stop Boko Haram, we would have done it right away. But they continue to attack, and kill and capture territories with such impunity,” Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama said.
Recently, over 40 leaders from across the globe joined with a million French citizens who marched in Paris to honour the 17 people killed in terror attacks in the French capital.
