Wing Commander Mervyn Leslie Middlecoat born in 1940 in a Christian family of Lahore, He serve as a military pilot in the Pakistan Air Force.
He turned into the beneficiary of Sitara-e Jurat after 1965 war and Sitara-e-Bisalat after 1971 war. He was Flight Lieutenant in 1965 Middlecoat was stationed at Masroor Airbase. He had likewise taken part in the Arab War in 1968 for which he got the highest military honor in Jordan.
He was involved in a number of aerial battles during the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pakistani wars, before being shot down on 12 December 1971. He was one of the six strike command officers, who were selected to conduct the aerial operation “Amritsar Radar”,
Officer Leslie died protecting Pakistan after his plane was shot down amid the 1971 war.
After his died, Jordan’s King Shah Hussain sent a letter to his better half, composition: “Sister! The died of Commander Leslie is my personal loss. It’s my wish that when the body of Leslie will be wrapped in Flag of Pakistan, for the funeral, please put the Flag of Jordan under his head.”
