Security agencies hook a terrorist allegedly involved in the Badaber PAF base attack.

According to media reports, a terrorist who is believed to be involved in Pakistan Air Force Base in Badaber area of Peshawar attack last week has been booked by the security forces from Charsadda. Khyber Pakhtunkhawa police had conducted a search operation in Charsadda district from corner to corner and on a secret information and arrested many including the suspected terrorist involved in Badaber Attack.

Last week on September 18, a band of terrorists attacked a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp located at Inqalab road in Badaber area in Peshawar early in the morning. The attack was launched by two groups of terrorists from two directions.

Reportedly, one group of the terrorists tried to engage security troops, whereas the other group wanted to break in the PAF camp. ISPR stated that “terrorists opened fire on Base camp’s mosque and killed 16 Namazis.” A Pakistan military official stated, “All the terrorists were wearing explosive-laden jackets and were armed with hand-propelled grenades, mortars, AK-47 rifles.” 29 people lost their lives as a result of this attack.

A faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khorasani group has claimed responsibility for this attack. Moreover, DG ISPR stated that PAF base attack was planned in Afghanistan. United Nations has offered condolences to the government of Pakistan over the loss of lives by the attack. US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner during a routine briefing in Washington, stated that “No country has suffered more at the hands of terrorists and extremists than Pakistan.”
