Pakistan is on the right path towards progress says, President Mamnoon Hussain

President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated that the targeted operation in which is being carried out in Karachi will be continued until terrorism is completely eradicated and peace is restored.

President Mamnoon Hussain was addressing the 3rd Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Achievements Awards ceremony in Karachi, when he said this. At this occasion, he added that the military offensive carried out by Pakistani military forces in North Waziristan, has now started to bring forth results.

President Mamnoon was of opinion that Pakistan is currently on the right track as there has been an evident progress in economic arena. This progress will cause the country to prosper. At the same time, he added that economic stability of Pakistan is on the top of the list of national agenda. He stated that every institution of Pakistan is endeavouring to realize the dream of an economically stable Pakistan.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that the State Bank of Pakistan had in effect lowered the discount rate and as a result private banks in the country will be able to distribute more loans, and so more jobs will be created in the country and thus Pakistan’s economic growth will be heightened.

He further added that the international monitory institutions are also acknowledging the positive economic indicators of Pakistan’s economy. He added that reports from various international institutions advised that Pakistan is recuperating its international rating.

He construed this growing trend as progressive and expressed contentment over the fact that the government is taking all feasible steps to address the common energy shortages in the country. At the same time, he expressed hope that after two and a half years Pakistan will be able to overcome load shedding.
