Pakistani Christian cable channel Gawahi TV has started its satellite broadcast from today, June 1. Formerly the Christian channel also suffered from extremism as unknown men set the Gawahi TV office on fire, which caused huge loss to the channel. However, owing to the preservation of the Reverend Sarfraz William CEO of Gawahi TV, the channel is now all set to reach out to the souls across the globe.
Gawahi TV which is a Karachi-based 24/7 channel was formerly a cable transmission however, today it has gone on satellites, which was a great aspiration of the Gawahi TV team. Reverend Sarfraz William says, “With a significant Christian population in the city, the Gawahi TV’s viewership is estimated to be around 500,000.” Followed by advancement, the channel is expected to reach hundreds of souls waiting to hear the Word of God.
Reverend William said that he had worked hard to run a Christian TV channel. “We are planning to spread the transmission across the country and optimistic that God will help us in fulfilling our plans,” he said previously when the channel went off air followed by the arson.
This is a huge achievement owing to the great set back, which the channel suffered last. On November 24, 2015, the office of Gawahi TV in Karachi’ Akhtar Colony area was set on fire mysteriously. Gawahi TV’ broadcasts of Biblical teachings, prayers and local worship gatherings were hampered for a few days but however, the administration managed to pull it off and resumed the transmission after much ado.
