Duncan Albert Sharpe, a former Pakistani Cricketer was born on August 3, 1937 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. An Anglo-Pakistani, Duncan Sharpe played only three tests for Pakistan in 1959. He is one of only four Christians to have played test cricket for Pakistan.
He was a talented batsman and a wicket-keeper. His Test career was inaugurated with a fifty against Australia in Dacca. After this match he played the two remaining Tests in that series with Australia. However, after this series he was left out of the team.
A former Australian cricketer Barry Jarman sponsored Sharpe to move to Australia. There he represented South Australia along with Barry Jarman and Garry Sobers in the Sheffield Shield. On the whole he scored 1531 runs in 37 first class matches at an average close to 30.
