Pakistani Christian leader Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress (PCC) has extended felicitations to the new US President Donald J. Trump on taking oath as 45th President of United States of America. He expressed hope for the betterment in the situation for religious minorities in the Islamic countries. Dr. Bhatti affirmed that Pakistani Christians living in the United States are “praying for good health and long life of President Donald Trump.”
In this regard, Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti stated: “The religious minorities in Islamic states will be safe and secure during Administration of President Donald Trump and Islamic extremists will be capped which spread due to wrong policies of Obama Administration.” He expressed hope that President Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” will come true. He said that the President will be able to bring about a real change in the world by his novel and far-reaching policies.
Additionally, he stated that he and his administration are preparing a memo to be presented to President Donald Trump seeking his backing and assistance for the Pakistani Christians. He also said that he would invoke the US President to dole out US Aid to Pakistan on the condition of repealing the blasphemy law in the country.
He further explained that the Pakistan Christian Congress memorandum will also urge President Donald Trump consider revising visa policy for Muslim states. He said that the applicants from Islamic countries must declare that “applicant will not demand implementation of Sharia Laws on any forum in USA nor he believes in Blasphemy laws,” Pakistan Christian Post stated.
Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti said that minorities in Pakistan did not witness unprecedented levels of extremism and terrorism prior to the Islamization of the country and fostering of blasphemy laws. “PCC believes that President Donald Trump will bring positive change in world and USA will be number one again in new world order which was duly damaged by Obama Administration” he added.
