Independence Day of Pakistan fervently celebrated by Christians in Pakistan.
Christians all across the nation passionately celebrated the Independence Day yesterday August 14. In this regard, prayer services were held at various churches. Congregants offered prayers for peace and solidarity. Various Christian leaders expressed good wishes for Pakistan.
Ceremonies were held at various Christian institutions and churches marking the Independence Day celebrations. A ceremony was held at the Forman Christian College (FCC) Lahore, to celebrate Pakistan’s 68th Independence Day with great passion.
The ceremony was hosted by FCC student Victoria Walter, who recited the Holy Bible. At this occasion the national flag was hoisted by FCC Rector Dr James Tebbe.
The attendees included Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr Joseph ones, Registrar Dr Hamid Saeed, Vice Rector Intermediate Professor CJ Dubash and Head of Security Col Khaqan Mahmood.
Similar ceremonies were held at various Christian schools in various cities of Pakistan. Children were all dressed up in green and white, wearing badges of Pakistani flag. Various speech and singing competitions were held during these ceremonies. Moreover, cake cutting ceremonies were organised by various Christian leaders.
