Pakistani Christians Honored At The Independence Day Ceremony At The Consulate General Office Toronto

TORONTO:  Pakistani Christians honored at the Independence Day celebration ceremony at the Consulate General Office.

According to details, International Christian Voice ICV held celebrations at the 66th Independence Day of Pakistan. This ceremony was held at the Consulate General Office Toronto. “This was a very great day in lives of all of us, the most important part remains that we need to revisit the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and see ourselves in its light,” the ICV stated.

 

The Consulate General invited the International Christian Voice team at this auspicious occasion. Consulate General, Nafees Zakaria sent an invitation to the International Christian Voice team to attend the Independence Day program at Consulate.

 

The day was marked by acknowledgement of two of Pakistani Christians among Muslims as were honored by the Consulate General. Mr. Nadeem Khokhar won a gold medal in Cricket and a silver medal in Badminton along with his children Isaiah Khokhar and Nehemiah Khokhar who won gold medal in Track and Field;  were greatly honored in the Consulate.

 

Moreover, Mr. Ashraf Masih who secured a bronze medal in European Badminton tournament, and Mr. Philip Patrick who enthralled the audience at the Independence Day ceremony at the Consulate by his “Milli Naghma” were also among those who were noticeably appreciated at the Consulate.

 

Mr. Philip Patrick’s song was greatly appreciated by the audience, while Mr. Sohail Rana, a distinguished music composer of Pakistan appreciated him,” He is God gifted with a very melodious voice. “

 

The Pakistani Canadian Christian community expressed pride in great appreciation of their brother Mr. Philip Patrick saying, “He is a very well-known singer in our community and brother of Pr. Carol Patrick. When he got honoured there by the audience and the dignitaries at the same time he made all of us very proud as a Pakistani Canadian Christian community.”

 

At the end of the ceremony Consulate General Mr. Nafees Zakaria expressed his pleasure and gratefulness to all the guests in particularly the International Christian Voice team for accepting his invitation.
