KARACHI: The Pakistan Christian Congress deeply anxious over the bouncing of the relief cheques of the Joseph Town affectees.
The President of the PCC, Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti expresses grave concerns over the matter; according to details 265 cheques amounting 5, 00,000 Rupees were distributed among the affectees by the government of Punjab.
Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti urged Mian Shahbaz Sharif to direct the machinery of finance department of Punjab to ensure payments to those affected by the arson. “Christians have many serious challenges in Pakistan and at this moment statements of different Christian civil society activists against each other on aid to Christian of Joseph Colony are not in interest of victims neither of Joseph Colony nor in favour of Pakistani Christians” said Nazir S. Bhatti.
At the other hand, he calls upon the Christian NGO’s not to release antagonistic statements on media, aiming to satisfy the donors.
