Pak Center for Law and Justice (PCLJ) has extended legal assistance to father of Sharoon Masih in pursuit of justice. Sharoon Masih, a 17-year-old Christian student was callously lynched by his classmate at Government MC Model High School for Boys in Burewala city of Vehari District.
Following the incident, Ilyasab Masih father of Sharoon Masih told the media that: “His teacher, Nazeer Mohal, sent him back home because he was not wearing proper uniform. His mother told me later that evening that Sharoon had told her that the teacher had hit him in front of the whole class and also called him a Choohra, among other curse words. She said that he was quite upset at being humiliated in front of the whole class on the very first day of school.”
Pak Centre for Law and Justice has announced to provide legal assistance to Ilyasab Masih. “We as legal team of Pak center for Law and Justice (PCLJ) are with father of Sharoon Masih, a 17 years old student who was hated and beaten to death by his Muslim class mate in High school in Burewala Distt Vehari, a social media statement said.
It was further stated that: “PCLJ will provide legal assistance and Human Friends Organization (HFO) will provide financial assistance to victim family.”
Sharoon’s family was told by his classmates that murderer Ahmad Raza engaged Sharoon in a brawl; expressing annoyance because Sharoon had drunk water from the glass used by all students. “We were at that time told that Ahmed had objected to Sharoon’s use of the glass, resulting in a fight between the two,” Sharoon’s father stated.
“The teacher was not present in the classroom during that time, but some students did try to break up the fight,” he had stated previously, adding that he was informed that efforts were made in order to pacify Sharoon and Ahmed meanwhile Sharoon managed to run out of the classroom. However, Ahmed chased him and started bashing him mercilessly. Shortly after this statement, the students who had initially said that Ahmed had engaged Sharoon in a brawl, changed their statements.
