Peshawar: Christian killed in brazen attack on Christian Colony identified as Samuel Masih

Samuel Masih, resident of Christian Colony, Warsak Dam, perished as a result of the brazen attack by terrorists. Early morning today, four suicide bombers launched an assault at the neighborhood opening indiscriminate fire. Samuel Masih the sole Christian reportedly killed in the attack was hit by the bombers as he was going out from the gate.

Pakistani Christians under attack

Reports are that one of the four bombers broke into one of the Christians’ houses and blew himself up. The house belonged to Farrukh Masih, nonetheless miraculously no causalities reported from Farrukh Masih’s house.

Shortly after the attack, Ehsanullah Ehsan a spokesperson for TTP Jamaat-ur-Ahrar is a statement said: “We have carried out the attack.” He added that the attack was a reaction to the “Army’s spokesperson (Lt Gen Asim Bajwa’s) press conference.” In press conference Lt. Gen Asim Bajwa had stated that the militant had been eliminated.

Previously a police official said, “There are four bodies of terrorists and they look like suicide bombers as some of them are in pieces. One Christian has been killed while two private security guards Khud Ali and Najeem and one police constable Sajjad have been wounded seriously. The attackers were killed in exchange of fire.”
