Peshawar: Christian youngster receives best Minorities’ Youth Activist Award

Christian youth activist Yasir Bhatti receives best Minorities Youth Activist from the Christian Community. In an award distribution ceremony held in Peshawar young Christian activist was awarded for his determined efforts and services for the Christian community in Peshawar.

Minorities youth Conference in Peshawar

The awards were distributed during the Minorities Youth Conference held in Peshawar. This was first time ever when a Minorities Youth Conference was held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This Minorities Youth Conference was organized by Provincial Youth Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. About 600 youngsters hailing from Christian, Hindu and Sikh and Muslims community attended this conference.

Youth hailing from various faiths participated in this conference from around the Peshawar District. At this occasion, the guests of honor Bishop Humphrey Sarfraz Peters from the Christian community, Charnjeet Singh from the Sikh community and Ravi Kumar Coordinator to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the Hindu community and the SSP Operation Sajjad khan graced the ceremony with their presence.

The conference was aimed to promote the idea of social harmony and interfaith peace and tolerance.
During the conference, youngsters from the Hindu, Christian, Sikh and Muslim communities were awarded for their efforts and services.
