LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned top provincial government officials regarding the Kasur child porn gang case.

Accoridng to details, the Lahore High court has summoned top Punjab government officials Tuesday July 11, regarding a petition which sought addition of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) clauses into Kasur child pornography. After the ATA clauses are included the accused will be tried in a military court.

The LHC Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik has asked Advocate General Naveed Rasool Mirza, IG Police Mushtaq Sukhera, Punjab Home Secretary Azam Suleman, DPO Kasur, SP investigation, SHO and other concerned investigation officers to appear in person before the court on Wednesday July 12, to explicate whether the case should be tried under the ATA.

The LHC was hearing the case of a petition filed by four law students. Advocate Aftab Bajwa hired by the petitioners stated that the police is dealing with it as a normal case. He claimed that, “The case falls under ATA as it harassed the whole country and the case should be sent to the military court. “

Thus far, as a minimum, 12 accused have been arrested by the police after the complains were filed. The complainants maintained that a gang of 20 to 25 men had filmed as many as 400 videos of sexual abuse involving at least 280 children belonging to Hussain Khan Wala village.
