Quetta: Christians show up to ‘rally against Indian aggression’

Christians in Quetta rally against the Indian aggression, expressing solidarity with Pakistan Army. Christians had thronged in large numbers to raise their voices against the ongoing hostility displayed by India. Pakistan Muslim League’s leader Khalil George led the rally and voiced serious concerns over India’s war mania. “Pakistani nation is ready to retaliate if India initiates war,” he said.

The protesters further chanted slogans in favor of Pakistan and Pakistan Army. This rally was held under the auspices of local Christian community; whereas the rally started from Mission Road and changed into a demonstration at Manan Chowk. Christian lawmaker Khalil George further told the protesters that the rally was intended to condemn Indian threats of aggression. “We are peace loving, and are proud to be Pakistanis.”

He further mocked the neighboring country saying if it remembers the 1965 war, it will never dare to take up another war with Pakistan. “Pakistani nation and Armed Forces know how to efficaciously defend their homeland. The nation stands in unity with the army,” he said.

The protest comes ensuing aggressive calls for war from the across the border. This aggression has sparked widespread concerns in the country, while Quetta’s Christian community jostled to express solidarity with Pakistan Army.
