On GPO Chowk of Zarghoon Road a terrorist detonated him near a police truck. This incident occurred only 300 meters away from Balochistan Assembly building around 6 pm. On Dec 17 a Methodist Church was attacked by some ISIS militants on the same road which cast 11 Christian civilians life.
Inspector general of Balochistan police Moazzam Jah Ansari, reported about causalities including 5 constables of Balochistan. He told that 7 policemen are severely wounded due to this terror blast.
The policemen were boarded on a police truck returning from duty when a bomber blew him near the vehicle. The explosion also damaged some public vehicles too.
Due to this blast 5 policemen and 2 citizens has martyred and about 23 are injured told medical staff. Rescue teams blast victims to Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical Complex and Combined Military Hospital. Emergency was announced in all the hospitals.
Present investigation concludes that the suicide attacker wanted to explode Balochistan Assembly building but denoted himself in the red zone near contingency truck.
A session in assembly which was about to held on Tuesday in opposition of Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri was cancelled earlier because he offered to resign.
Bomb disposal squad was examining the explosive material and cleaning the location. The attacker was a teen aged person wearing jacket with10kg explosive material.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the terror attack on police force. 900 Security forces near the assembly building were deployed due to the assembly session of Tuesday. Several media persons were at the site for the report coverage of no trust move against CM Nawab Sanaullah Zehri.
Several political leaders of Pakistan government condemned the Quetta terror attack on security forces on social media.
