Rosemary Mushtaq, born in Karachi in 1999 belongs to a Christian family from a small neighborhood in Karachi. At the age of seven, Rosemary started music and vocal training in the classical genre.
Although she had been training to sing since a very young age, Rosemary grew to fame after her appearance in two reality shows. One was Pak-indo music show ‘Chhote Ustad’ where she stood fourth but she gained most of her fame when she got selected for the ‘Pakistan Idol’ competition. She was a finalist in the competition.
She is merely 15 years of age and has achieved a lot in life. Not many aspiring singers are privileged enough to get a professional music teacher and a recording rig set up at home to practice singing well into the microphone. As she progresses in her venture to learn more, she has developed enormously as a singer.
She still trains and is performing at gigs and concerts all over Pakistan. She has grown from strength to strength under the guidance of music maestros like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Sonu Nigam.
Rosemary Mushtaq is a symbol of Christian youth and is a pride of Christians in Pakistan.
