Sargodha: Government approves more than 60 million for minorities’ development projects


Government of Punjab has approved a fund of about 6 and a half crore Rupees for the developmental projects to be carried out for the progress of religious minorities. This fund was given a green signal by the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, this fund is to be used for the betterment of religious minorities nestled in Sargodha.

This grant was recommended by member of Punjab Assembly Kanji Ram, whereas, after the approval of funds from the Chief Minister of Pakistan. In this connection the funds have been released, so that the developmental projects may be carried out.

Chaudhry Mushtaq Gill, General Secretary of Minority Wing of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Punjab (PML-N), had previously requested the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif for funds in order to carry out developmental projects for the Community Centre and Sewerage at Noori Gate neighborhood.

Moreover, the developmental projects were considered to be carried out at the Solang, Gawala, Tasawarabad, PPC, Union Councils of Municipal Corporation 6 and 14, Community Centre and Church at Rasala number 16. Chaudhry Mushtaq had requested MPA Kanji Ram to beseech the provincial government for the funds.
