Security to be foolproof during Good Friday services in churches: DIG Operations Lahore

DIG Operations Lahore Dr. Haider Ashraf has directed the concerned authorities to ensure foolproof security at all the churches in Lahore. He directed the authorities that security measures at the churches should be beefed up during prayer services scheduled to be held on Good Friday and Easter.

During a meeting with the concerned authorities and police officials, DIG Operations detailed that for the purpose of securing churches during Good Friday and Easter services; 10 Superintendents of Police, 35 Deputy Superintendents of Police and 86 Special Police Officers will be assigned with the task of securing churches along with heavy contingents of police.

Details emerged that heavy contingents of police are to be deployed at all the main churches in the city. At the same time all the Divisional Superintendents of Police have been directed to visit all the churches falling within their jurisdictions. Moreover, these Divisional Superintendents of Police are directed to meet with the administrations of the churches and finalize the security plans.

In keeping with the orders from the DIG Operations Lahore, the Divisional Superintendents of Police are to make sure that there is no lapse in the security at the churches during services. It is the duty of these Divisional Superintendents of Police to ensure that the security measures are foolproof and that no unpleasant incident during the prayer services.
