Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi have felicitated the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.
According to details, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadi and Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Murtaza Javed have extended Christmas wishes to the Christmas community. At this occasion they also extended Christmas wishes to the Christian members of the Parliament.
Speaker of National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq in his message, said that “Jesus Christ was appointed by God Almighty to preach love, peace, tolerance and brotherhood.” He added that the Muslims sincerely respect Jesus Christ as one of the great messengers of God Almighty.
“Christmas remind us the beginning of new hopes and plans for the future, resolution of conflicts, nurturing creativity and ideas; and sowing seeds of peace and cooperation for future generations,” he said.
At this occasion, Speaker National Assembly restated the vow of the parliament and government to completely safeguard the rights and privileges due to all the religious minorities living in Pakistan; as in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan and guiding principles of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Moreover, Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi also extended Christmas greetings to the Christian members of the Parliament and the entire Christian community in Pakistan and all over the world. He said that Jesus Christ’s undying message of love for humanity and for all the members of all communities and fraternities regardless of their race, religion or creed; still hold force to guarantee harmony and peace in the world.
In the face of current upheavals and turmoil, he said, “We should forge unity to counter the nefarious designs of the enemies.” At this occasion, he also aired his appreciation to the Christian community for a deep sense of patriotism and dedication which they harbour along with their valuable services for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
