Two separate incidents have occurred in Tanzania where Christians have been attacked and one has been murdered.
In Bukoba, a group of attackers killed a man with a machete and injured another, and a pastor and his wife were attacked in their home on Zanzibar Island. Witnesses said that the men were in masks and did not identify themselves; they only commanded him not to move.
In another incident a church was attacked by unknown men. Pastor Faustine Joseph said that the church had been receiving threats from Muslims who have said they want to decrease the amount of Christians in the region. Bukoba is a Muslim-dominated region located in northwest Tanzania, an area known for Islamic extremism.
