Thailand: Despairing Pakistani Christian asylum seekers receive relief goods

Stranded Pakistani Christians seeking asylum in Thailand succored by a charity group International Community Care Foundation. In line with reports, few families of Pakistani Christians who had been left in a high and dry state were reached by the ICCF and received relief goods including food items.

In this regard, Mr. Tariq Javaid, President of International Community Care Foundations United Sates of America appreciated the efforts of Mr. Joseph Gill and Ms. Rushba Alfred from International Community Care Foundation-ICCF Thailand chapter for dispensing food packages among Pakistani Christian asylum seekers in Bangkok.

31 families of Pakistani Christians received the food items from the ICCF, the distribution was carried out at Soi 7 Bearing Bangkok Thailand. The recipients were in dire straits as they were rendered helpless and money less owing to unemployment, illegal arrests and negligence from the UNHCR and many other factors.

The packages distributed among the desperate Pakistani Christians contained necessary food items such as rice, wheat flour, red chilies, cooking oil, pickles, tea, salt and lentils. At the same time, the International Community Care Foundation-ICCF USA has reiterated its commitment towards the distressed Pakistani Christians caught in a state of re-persecution in Thailand.
