ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly of Pakistan agrees to a unanimous resolution over the Badami Bagh incident preceded by strong condemnation.
The flustered minorities’ members confronted the PML -N policymakers as a consequence of which the House presented the scenario of a battle ground. During the NA session on Monday, petitions on either annulment of the Blasphemy law or prevention of its misuse were put forward before the House. At this occasion, the PML –N seemed aloof and at odds with other parliamentarians in particularly the minorities’ representatives.
The resolution put forth by the State Minister of Interfaith Harmony, Akram Masih Gill contained a call on the government to formulate a commission to scrutinize the causes of the incident and bring justice to those found responsible. The House reviled any act or word that profanes any holy personality or otherwise hurts the sentiments of a religious community.
