KARACHI: Christian Human Rights Activists and workers of All Pakistan Christian League abducted and severely tortured on account of raising voice for human rights violation in Pakistan.
According to details, three Christian Human Rights Activists, and workers of the All Pakistan Christian League (APCL) – Zeeshan Simon, Anthony Tony and Sadiq Masih were brutally tortured after being kidnapped by unidentified men. On 9th of April at about 3:00 am, Zeeshan and his two companions were carried away from their houses; residing in the same area.
They were carried off to an unknown place where they remained detained for 16 hours whilst they undergo severe affliction. The kidnappers warned them not to raise voice against Human Rights Violation of the Minorities in Pakistan. Their ordeal ended when the abductors set them free the same day at 6:00 pm; exhorting them not to stand for Human Rights Violation in Pakistan in future or else they will have to face terrible consequences. Zeeshan, Anthony and Sadiq are now in a critical condition unable to stand – owing to bashing with iron rods.
Zeeshan Simon is a Human Rights Activist, Coordinator of the Amnesty International and a vigorous element of the All Pakistan Christian League (APCL); representing the two set ups on every platform at all times. While, Anthony Tony and Sadiq Masih are APCL workers who have for all time endeavored for Human Rights of Minorities in Pakistan.
In the context of this incident the Founder and Co-Chairman of All Pakistan Christian League, Mr. Nawaz Salamat urges the Government of Pakistan to ensure their security as their lives are still at stake. Another assault at the three workers of the APCL is within possibility. Mr. Salamat says,” We have requested the Government of Pakistan to take notice of this issue but nothing has been done so far. We will request you all to become our voice to put pressure on Pakistan Government to take notice of this shameful incident.”
In addition to this he says,” Their Life is in danger in Pakistan now. It will be appreciated if somehow we can bring these Boys out of Pakistan to save their lives.”
