Another genocide is being feared in Turkey. During World War I, Ottoman Turks killed over 300,000 Armenians. As the world marks the 100th anniversary of that genocide, there are rising concerns about whether Turkey will repeat history soon.

According to BSU reports, many say the slaughter has already begun as Turks have already killing Armenians and Christians in the Middle East. Pope Francis recently condemned Turkey for the Armenian genocide, drawing a warning from the Turkish government not to repeat the comments.

Although Turkey denies the WWI genocide, there is ample proof of its happening. Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country, and the growing intolerance of non-Muslims is of great concern to the rest of the world. Interestingly, the country of Turkey is one of the largest supporters of the militant extremist group ISIS.

As world leaders avoid addressing this issue, and Turkey keeps on denying the genocide, there are fears that it may happen again as those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to commit the same failures in the future.
