WASHINGTON: US carries out air strikes despite IS makes threats of bloodshed of Americans.
US warplanes continue to strike Islamic State hideouts in Iraq despite the militants’ killing of a US journalist in retaliation to the US action against them. The United States has been conducting air strikes against Islamic State destroying their vehicles and arms since earlier this month.
As an apparent revenge for the strikes, the hard-line group posted a video showing the beheading of an American journalist James Wright Foley, who disappeared while reporting in Syria in 2012. IS also threatened the US of further bloodshed of Americans if US further acted against them.
