Victims of Quetta Civil Hospital blast commemorated during a peace rally organized by the Council for Interfaith Dialogue Pakistan (CFID). People from every walk of life participated in this peace rally which was held at the Liberty Chowk, Lahore.

Quetta blast victims commemorated during peace rally

This rally was held under the banner of Council for Interfaith Dialogue Pakistan (CFID). The participants of this rally included several lawyers, Father Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, also attended the peace rally. Father Francis Nadeem Coordinator of Council for Interfaith Dialogue organized this peace rally. This rally was headed by prominent leaders from various faiths including Hafiz Mufti Syed Ashiq Hussain, Dr. Badar Munir, Edward Qaisar, Pir S.A. Jafri and Samuel Pyara.

Apart from prominent figures from the civil society, women and men from various walks of life also attended this rally. The participants lit candles in the memory of the victims of the blast. They condemned the heinous attack, at the same time they urged the government to take immediate action to thwart terrorist strikes.

During the rally, the participants offered prayers for those who had lost their lives and were injured as a result of the explosion. They also offered prayers for the bereaved families and observed a minute’s silence while paying homage to the victims. At the same time, they prayed for the success of the military operation carried out against the terrorists and that peace is restored in the country.
