Pakistani embassy at Washington, hosts a ceremony for the Pakistani Christians living in United States. Pakistani Christians converged from the states of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. This event was organized by Ilyas Mohsin, a Christian from Peshawar, thanked the embassy and the ambassador.
Pakistani Christians expressed their love for the country and thanked the embassy for allowing them to celebrate Easter at its premises. Previously, the embassy had allowed them to celebrate Christmas at its premises. “This is our embassy, we are here to give and get love, not regrets,” said a Pakistani Christian teenager. “This is my country. This is my leader. This is my love,” Ilyas Mohsin said. A group of children presented Easter songs, in Urdu and English.
Ambassador, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, expressed happiness as he welcomed Pakistani Christian community. He gladly offered the embassy premises to the Pakistani Christians living in the US; if and whenever they needed it. “You are a bridge, a beautiful bridge, between Pakistan and the United States. You are the true face of Pakistan,” he said.
Ambassador Chaudhry praised the enthusiasm of Pakistan’s Christian community as they voiced the message of peace, love and hope. He highlighted the role of Pakistani Christians’ in the development of country.
