ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court questions the reason of ever increasing insecurity among the Badami Bagh incident victims.
The court was notified of the fact that certain set- ups are harassing the Christian residents of the Joseph Colony, Lahore. Morover, the affectees are feeling abandoned by the government and insecure. Addressing to the issues of Gojra incident and the blasphemy charges on Rimsha Masih; the Chief Justice remarked, “Why do Christians feel insecure as the courts have regularly been coming to their safety. You should not blame everyone.”
Whilst Advocate Naeem Shakir said, “the trend of using blasphemy laws for nefarious acts should be discouraged, as on March 8 and 9 the police asked the residents to vacate their houses and when the mob came there was nobody to protect their property.”
